EGYPT 98-Aswan

Aswan situated in the first cataract (shallow stretches with many small rocky islets) of the Nile. It is famous for the two dams, the Aswan Old Dam (54m in height) and the Aswan High Dam (111m in height). Due to the building of the dam, 24 major monuments were moved to safer locations (e.g Temple of Philae and the famous Abu Simbel)or granted to countries that helped with the works

The rest of the photos are of the Nile at Aswan. The Nile is particularly beautiful here especially with the yachts.
