NEPAL 99-Trek Day 5-Annapurna Sanctuary (04/12/99)

On a clear day, a person standing in the Annupurna Sanctuary would be surrounded by Annapurna I (8,091m) and her neighbouring peaks. The panorama would be stupendous. Unfortunately, the weather was not kind to us on the day we entered the sanctuary. All the peaks were covered by clouds.

Looking down at the Machapurchare Base Camp. On a clear day, Machapurchare would be visible.

Only alphine grass can grow at such high altitude.
