NEPAL 99-Chitwan National Park (27/11/99)

Before we attempt the Annapurna Base Camp Trek, we paid a visit to the Chitwan National Park first. The park was established in 1974 and granted the status of World Heritage Site in 1984. It is located in southern Nepal about 200km away from Kathmandu. While the distance is not very long, the journey took about half a day and we reached the park in the early afternoon. We spent the afternoon resting and roaming around the local villages.
