Here are a few more photos of the Swayambhunath temple.

Painted on the stupa are Buddha's eyes and eyebrows. In between them is the Nepali symbol of unity.

The Langtang Himal is visible from Kathmandu on a clear day. The Langtang Himal is a much lower range compared to the Everest and Annapurna region. While the higest peak, Langtang Lirung is only 7,245m, it is still higher than any mountain outside the Himalayas.

Boudhanath is one of the holiest Buddhist sites in Nepal. It is one of the largest spherical stupas in Nepal and a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

One of the last photos taken in Kathmandu Airport as we bade farewell to Nepal. The Langtang Himal is in the background.
On the whole, while I did have clear views of the Annapurna Himalayas on most days, I would still rate this trip as the second most regretful trip to-date (after Yunnan 2008) due to the bad weather on the Annapurna Sanctuary, which was supposed to be the climax of the whole trip. And all the more the bad weather occurred only on that single day! If the weather was perfect, the moment in Annapurna Sanctuary would likely surpass Jungfraujoch and Klein Matterhorn/Gornergrat to be the most awesome moment of all my trips to-date!
